An ezine is similar to magazines in a lot of ways. The main difference between an ezine and a magazine is and ezine is delivered using an electronic form. One of the main benefits that ezine provides for you is it allows you to engage your target audience’s interests and get their email addresses to allow for continuous communication. A continuous communication allows your readers to have the products and services you offer within their awareness. Even if they may not be interested in purchasing what you offer now, they might have need of the goods and services in the future and they will have your ezines as reference and will think of your business first.

The first thing you need to do to ensure that your business is marketed well using ezines is to capture your users email. Make sure that you have a box to capture people’s emails on your website’s front page. Also, make sure that people have reason to sign up such as getting an important and useful free report after they sign up.

To make sure that your emails are delivered properly to your target readers’ email inbox, avoid using the word “free” as unwanted email and would automatically place those emails in the spam folder. Also, try to ask your ezine readers to white list (a white list is a list of email addresses that the reader or recipient deems as solicited sources of emails) your return address to prevent your ezine articles from being blocked.

Also, make sure that the subject lines of your ezine articles are compelling to get your readers’ attention. The subject line should have variety to prevent your readers from thinking that the email is a duplicate. Try to put in your receiver’s name on the subject line as well to personalize the message.

Lastly, the content of your articles must be fresh and informative. This keeps your readers interested in you and your business.
